Alchemist is a Chrome extension that helps you write better prompts for AI chat tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and Google AI Studio. It adds a small floating toolbar to the chat interface with three modes: Quick Polish for instant rewrites, Wizard Mode for guided refinement, and Coding Mode for generating full project scaffolds.

No. Alchemist handles all AI processing through its own backend. You never need to provide an OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google API key. Just install the extension and start using it.

Yes. The free plan includes 50 credits/month and works on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and Google AI Studio — no account required.

Both plans include Wizard Mode, Coding Mode, and saved prompts. The difference is usage: Pro gives you 750 credits/month for $3, and Power gives you 2,500 credits/month for $10.

Each time Alchemist processes a prompt (polish, wizard refinement, or coding mode generation), it uses credits. Quick Polish uses ~1 credit. Wizard Mode uses ~3-5. Coding Mode uses ~15-20 per full generation. Credits reset monthly.

Currently ChatGPT (chatgpt.com), Claude (claude.ai), Google Gemini (gemini.google.com), Perplexity (perplexity.ai), Grok (grok.com), and Google AI Studio (aistudio.google.com). We're adding more platforms based on user requests.
